From local councils to national government, how are the decisions that affect our lives made? In this thought-provoking KS2 democracy workshop, we help children unpack big concepts like fairness, justice and human rights. Then, discuss how such values shape our world.
Through active, engaging drama activities, we’ll learn how laws are created and subsequently policed. Plus, consider some fundamental questions: On Planet Democracy, are we individuals or a community? What values matter most? And how do we prioritise each other to make the world a better place? Directly linking to the PSHE curriculum and touching on real historic examples, pupils discover how their own voices can make a real difference to those around them.

A large, clear space (such as a school hall) is ideal so participating children can move around comfortably. The more information you can provide about the needs of your class the better.
