Embedding more creativity in the classroom can be a huge asset to teachers. Interactive tools like drama, dance and roleplay have the power to capture pupils’ imaginations, stimulate discussion and enhance learning. Plus, it’s wonderfully simple to do! This professional development workshop for primary teachers is full of tips that can transform your everyday teaching, and has been developed through our love of (and many years of work within!) creative education.
What your pupils will learn
- No children here! This workshop is all about the staff
- Provide example lesson structures which can be used later by participants. Our approach is to embed creativity into every aspect of the classroom, rather than add-on activities
- Explore creative warm ups to prepare and focus a class, alongside behaviour management techniques that encourage disengaged pupils to participate
- Guide and instruct teachers on how to approach the curriculum through Dance and Drama
- Engage in creative learning techniques and co-facilitate with the guidance of our Our Day facilitator
