Our Carbon Footprint

What do we mean when we talk about carbon footprints? Why do we leave them wherever we go? Why are some black and sticky (urgh!) while others are fresh and green? Let’s follow our own carbon footprints around the world in this school science workshop about climate change, pollution and how we can help our planet. An ideal workshop for schools all year round or for British Science Week.

What the children learn...

  • Explore how individuals can reduce pollution
  • Examine what could improve or harm their local natural environment, and develop skills needed to care for it
  • Express ideas and feelings through voice, movement, role play and drama

How this One Day Workshop works:

Structure

This is delivered as a one-hour workshop for up to four classes of 35 children across a school day.

KS1 / P1 - 3

Price

Pricing for this workshop is £450 + VAT for a full day.

What we need from you

A large, clear space (such as a school hall) is ideal so participating children can move around comfortably. The more information you can provide about the needs of your class the better.
