Take a trip to one of nature's most amazing destinations: The Rainforest. Home to over half the world's plants and animals, we explore the make-up of this unique ecosystem and what threatens it. Join in with your One Day Facilitator to study the characteristics of this astonishing part of our planet and get ready to bring to life some of its sights and sounds through drama, role-play and improvisation.

What the children learn...

  • Examine the structure of the rainforest and begin to understand how the ecosystem works
  • Discover the locations of rainforests around the world, comparing them to other more local landscapes
  • Understand the impact humans have on their environment and the role we can play to protect it
  • Express ideas and feelings through voice, movement, role play and drama

How this One Day Workshop works:


This is delivered as a full day workshop for one class of 35 pupils or a half day each for two classes.

What we need from you

A large, clear space (such as a school hall) is ideal so participating children can move around comfortably. The more information you can provide about the needs of your class the better.
