Playing online can be lots of fun, with wonderful worlds to explore and cool characters to meet! But what dangers might we find? Using well known fairy tales, this KS1 online safety workshop helps children explore some tricky situations. Will the Three Little Pigs tell the Big Bad Wolf where they live? Will Red Riding Hood notice that Granny looks different today? Can we stop the Ugly Sisters from being horrible to Cinderella?

"On Monday we were informed that we would have an Ofsted visit on Tuesday and Wednesday - when the e-safety workshops were happening. We let the workshops go ahead and Ofsted popped in. They thought they were REALLY good. Feedback from the teachers and children was excellent – they really took on board the messages and the teachers thought that the Facilitator was brilliant. On later days children have made references to the messages that were given so all in all the workshops were highly successful and we hope that we are able to book you again next year. What the children learn...

  • Encourage using technology respectfully and safely, keeping personal information private
  • Examine how images online do not always reflect reality
  • Discuss how to recognise when people are being unkind online, and where to go for help and support
  • Explore in-app purchases
  • Express ideas and feelings through voice, movement, role play and drama.

How this One Day Workshop works:

Structure

This is delivered as a one-hour workshop for up to four classes of 35 children across a school day.

Price

Pricing for this workshop is £450 + VAT for a full day.

What we need from you

A large, clear space (such as a school hall) is ideal so participating children can move around comfortably. The more information you can provide about the needs of your class the better.
