The North and South Poles may be on opposite sides of the earth, but just how different are they? Like Ernest Shackleton and Ann Bancroft, pupils will join an expedition into these (not so) desolate tundras. Using performing arts, this Arctic and Antarctic KS2 workshop looks at everything from brave explorers to climate change, Arctic habitats to Antarctic wildlife. Hop on board the mighty ship Endurance and set sail towards the ends of our world! An ideal workshop for schools all year round or for British Science Week.

What the children learn...

  • Examine the characteristics of the Arctic and Antarctic landscape
  • Explore the inhabitants both human and animal you would find there
  • Encourage awareness of the impact that modern life is having upon this frozen kingdom

Structure

This workshop can be delivered as a one-hour, two-hour or full-day workshop depending on your class numbers and preference.

KS2 / P4 - 7

Price

Pricing for this workshop ranges from £375-£450 + VAT for the full day depending on the number of classes. Please get in touch for a tailored quote.

What we need from you

A large, clear space (such as a school hall) is ideal so participating children can move around comfortably. The more information you can provide about the needs of your class the better.
