Spring Classroom Craft Ideas (Great for At Home Too)!
1 March 2021 · 3 min read
After a few months of snow and frost, the sun is peeking out and it’s making the One Day team feel crafty! After the popularity of our Easter Craft and Autumn Craft blogs, we thought it was time to get inspired by the colours coming into our gardens and get creative with these spring classroom craft ideas (also great for decorating your home!).
Paper Flower Card
For lots of us it’s been far too long since we’ve seen some of our loved ones. Why not try making this flower greetings card to send them a message and brighten their day. This crafting activity is incredibly flexible so you can personalise to your heart’s content. There’s nothing we love more than crafting with the classics – coloured paper and a glue stick! The Easy Kids Craft YouTube channel has a whole host of activities to keep little ones entertained at school or in the holidays.
Toilet Roll Butterfly
If you’re looking at ways to make activities less wasteful, then this is the spring classroom craft idea for you! Create this Easy Peasy butterfly using leftover toilet rolls and any colouring method you like (we prefer the messier the better!).
DIY Spring Tree Terrarium
How beautiful is this crafted terrarium?! This is fantastic activity for creative kids who want to build their own world in a glass jar. In this Crafts for Kids episode you’ll be guided through how to make this spring tree, but for a more adventurous crafting afternoon, why not try some other scenes or seasons?
Paper Plate Bee Craft
This Kids Craft Room video showcases some classic crafting techniques. Paper plates, handprints AND googly eyes – that combination makes this one of the best spring classroom craft ideas one to try! Try hanging up these decorated paper plates in your classroom, or why not use them as springtime greetings cards? You could even turn them into a mask to create a real buzzzzz.
Handprint Bunnies
Last (but certainly not least) is this creatively crafty Handprint Easter Bunny idea from One Little Project. It wouldn’t be springtime without a visit from the Easter Bunny and this easy activity means he’ll show up in no time! Why not challenge older children to try making as many different animals as they can using their handprint as a baseline.
We hope your Spring is filled with colour, creativity and crafting.
With love from all the team at One Day Creative x
