The Festival of Lights has five full days of celebrations ... that sounds like something we should know about! Let’s walk through the different days of the festival, exploring how each day is celebrated differently and the ancient Hindu stories that form the origins of the festival. It’s time for a party!

Your class will…

  • Explore the legends of the festival of Diwali and ancient Hindu stories
  • Explore the traditions of each day of the festival
  • Encourage spiritual, moral, social and cultural development, and community cohesion through the exploration of other cultures and religions
  • Have a great day!

One Day Drama packages offer a full day workshop led by an experienced facilitator who collaborates with pupils in order to explore the topic through drama. The focus of a One Day Drama workshop is always the content and learning, but we do offer the opportunity for an informal peer to peer sharing session, where the children can share what they have done throughout the day. This isn’t necessarily a performance, but an opportunity for children to take ownership of the experience. They can share their learning with their peers, or if you wanted, parents.

This workshop includes props and accessories to aid learning

Tell us more about your classes knowledge of the topic in advance of the workshop so the content we deliver can hit the spot!

"One day are a truly fabulous company who are able to revolutionise the way children learn. Their facilitators are engaging and inspiring and are able to bring a true sense of magic to children's learning. Having worked with them on several projects now I simply can not wait to have them back again."
