One Day Performances: In A Nutshell!

Well, hasn’t it just been a wild jump back into Autumn term following the (all too short!) Half Term break?

With Anti-Bullying Week and Christmas just around the corner (not to mention Halloween and Bonfire Night) us teachers have no time to rest. We will be updating you shortly on our exciting Christmas offerings, but first we wanted to quickly catch you up on our One Day Performances.

Two are currently on the road and are perfect tie-ins to Anti-Bullying Week. Two will return later in the year as old favourites, but still with very current topics. All bring bespoke song and dance numbers, exciting animations, storytelling and punchy messages aplenty.

So, drumroll please … here are the One Day Performances: In A Nutshell!

1. Tweet Town – touring now!

Our BRAND NEW performance tour is ready to kick start this Autumn Term! Tweet Town is a whole school show, focusing on Anti-Bullying and Cyber-Bullying. You can expect our usual blend of exciting animations, foot-tapping music, fantastic costumes and intricate storytelling as we take your pupils on a journey into the latest social media site: Tweet Town.

But not everyone is kind online, and we look at the story from both sides. From poor Pinocchio, who IS a real boy with real feelings that can get hurt, to Cool Cat and Felicity Fox, who just want to have fun because online life isn’t the same as real life … is it?

Join us on the latest social media site to learn about what bullying is, the different forms it can take, and what we should do if we think it is happening to us. Options for KS1, KS2 and whole-school performances.

2. UGLY – touring now!

Following on from a sell-out run last year, our popular Anti-Bullying show UGLY returns in Autumn Term and is ready to bring this fairytale back to the masses.

This interactive performance brings a show packed full of drama, music and animations straight into your school hall. Let our professional actors take you into Cinderella’s world and meet her two ‘ugly’ sisters, who feel the world has very much turned against them. They will help us tackle some pretty important issues children face today, including social media, trolling, peer pressure, verbal abuse and physical bullying.

With the help of some famous characters along the way (well, over Skype!), your pupils might just be able to solve some moral quandaries and get the sisters the help they need. Options for KS1, KS2 and whole-school performances.

3. Level Up! – back in Spring Term!

Online gaming is fun, there’s no doubt about that. But it’s only a great place to learn and play if we’re aware of the dangers and how to avoid them. Level Up! introduces us to plucky JoJo, as we join her on an adventure through the levels, meeting new dangers and solving new problems along the way.

Level Up! first toured schools last year, and the unique blend of fast-paced animations, exciting songs and larger-than-life characters equips us with some great tips on how to stay safe and demystify the world of online gaming.

Will we make it to the final level? Who will be the end-of-game boss? Find out during this interactive adventure, with options for KS1 & KS2 performances.

4. Let’s Talk About It – back in Summer Term!

Our Let’s Talk About It performance tour swept into schools in September 2017, bringing the Mindfulness message to pupils along with loads of tips and tricks around mental health, coping with emotions, and not being afraid to ask for help.

The feedback was incredible and helping to build resilience in children is something we’re extremely passionate about. That’s why we can’t wait to bring the show back next Summer Term and once again join Sam and the Brain Busters on this interactive, theatrical experience through the mind. Options for KS1 and KS2 performances.
