Take a trip to one of nature's most amazing destinations: the rainforest! Home to over half the world's plants and animals, in this KS2 Rainforest workshop your pupils will explore what makes these ancient ecosystems so unique. Plus, learn which threats challenge their existence. Led by a One Day facilitator, you'll discover the many characteristics of this beautiful (and important) part of our planet. Then, use drama and movement to bring the sights and sounds of the rainy rainforest to life!

What the children learn...

  • Examine the structure of the rainforest and begin to understand how the ecosystem works
  • Discover the locations of rainforests around the world, comparing them to other landscapes
  • Understand the impact humans have on their environment and the role we can play to protect it
  • Express ideas and feelings through voice, movement, role play and drama

Structure

This workshop can be delivered as a one-hour, two-hour or full-day workshop depending on your class numbers and preference.

KS2 / P4 - 7

Price

Pricing for this workshop ranges from £365-£450 + VAT for the full day depending on the number of classes. Please get in touch for a tailored quote.

What we need from you

A large, clear space (such as a school hall) is ideal so participating children can move around comfortably. The more information you can provide about the needs of your class the better.
