Grace Darling

England, Scotland, Wales

Let’s explore the story of Victorian Heroine Grace Darling - an ordinary girl who became famous for doing an extraordinary thing. First we need to explore what daily life would have been like living at the lighthouse, and the seaside landscape she lived near. This heartwarming tale is perfect for a Seaside or History topics alike!

Your class will…

  • Explore the life of a significant individual
  • Explore the story of the shipwreck
  • Explore what life would have been like living and working by the sea
  • Have a great day!

One Day Drama packages offer a full day workshop led by an experienced facilitator who collaborates with pupils in order to explore the topic through drama. The focus of a One Day Drama workshop is always the content and learning, but we do offer the opportunity for an informal peer to peer sharing session, where the children can share what they have done throughout the day. This isn’t necessarily a performance, but an opportunity for children to take ownership of the experience. They can share their learning with their peers, or if you wanted, parents.

This workshop includes props and accessories to aid learning

Tell us more about your classes knowledge of the topic in advance of the workshop so the content we deliver can hit the spot!

"I wanted to put into writing how absolutely fantastic today has been! The children have not only learned a great deal through drama but had fun. They went back to class so motivated and two of my more reluctant 'unenthusiastic' boys were overheard to say ‘I wish every day was like that!’ We are so proud of how hard the children worked. I would thoroughly recommend the 'One day' experience and will be looking forward to booking another workshop that fits in to our creative curriculum theme."
