Imagine coming into school one morning to find out you’re to be evacuated to the countryside because your home is no longer safe. This was a reality for many children during World War 2, and you’re about to find out why. Come and learn how the war started, who fought in it and what ended it. In this World War 2 school workshop, your KS2 pupils will explore evacuees, air raids, rationing, wartime jobs, plus what it was like for life to change so dramatically!

"The delivery of the content was really well done. Students worked in small groups with other students they would not normally work with. The behaviour management of the groups was particularly strong, in fact two teachers have already decided to 'borrow' the group point system used in the workshop to support classroom management. Students had an opportunity to retrieve their prior learning on the subject and contribute to a class discussion about a timeline of the Second World War. This will have been great for their retention of the content from our History lessons and they were really pleased with the opportunity to show off."

How this One Day Workshop works:

Structure

This is delivered as a full day workshop for one class of 35 pupils, or a half day each for two classes. If you are a three-form entry school we can adapt this workshop to accommodate all three classes within the day, to fit in with your school timings.

Price

Pricing for this workshop ranges from £375-£395 + VAT for the full day depending on the number of classes. Please get in touch for a tailored quote.

What we need from you

A large, clear space (such as a school hall) is ideal so participating children can move around comfortably. The more information you can provide about the needs of your class the better.
