September 07, 2015
As September 2015 arrives it is time to welcome back all our lovely schools across England and Wales. How time flies! Of course we’re sad to see the summer go, but we are super excited to welcome you into your new academic year!
As always here at One Day we are committed to bringing fun, active and engaging learning to pupils, and this year we have lots of brand new workshops and ideas to help us do this!
We are really happy to share our fantastic literacy workshops, some of which are brand new especially to celebrate Roald Dahl’s 100th birthday in September!
Black History Month is marked in October and we have a dedicated KS2 drama workshop just for this occasion. Together, we’ll look back on influential figures from the Civil Rights movement such as Nelson Mandela and Rosa Parks, and look at why it is still so relevant today.
Safer Internet Day in February is by far one of our busiest times of our year! We expect the entire month to be booked up again, with dates in Safer Internet Week itself already almost at capacity. Please do get in touch with us to find out more about our range of Online Safety workshops for both KS1 & KS2, which cover all manner of important topics.
And last but not least – something we are all super excited about – our Olympics package! To celebrate the 2016 Olympic Games happening next summer in Rio de Janeiro, we are launching a One Day package for your school which will include our Dance Carnival, Brazilian Samba Drumming and Olympics Drama workshops! You can find out more about our Olympics options, plus all other culture workshops, here.
All in all we have an exciting and fun year ahead of us, and we can’t wait to share it with you!
Love Jess and the One Day team x
