Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced their wedding this Spring! Hoorah! Fifth in line to the throne our favourite prince – Prince Harry is tying the knot! But WHY all the fuss? Who are the Royal Family and what do they actually do?  People all over the world are obsessed with the British royal family. Most fans know all the royal names and faces, the line of succession to the throne, and even the family’s rarely-used last name. But — despite the constant flood of royal paparazzi photos and press releases — it can be tough to discern what it is the family members actually do!

Let’s take a day in the life trip to Buckingham palace and find out!

The dress! The cake! Who is on our wedding list! There’s just so much to do. The Royal family need your help to put on the BEST wedding of the year….

A fun and engaging workshop allowing children to learn about the traditions of the Royal Family, whilst creating a Royal Wedding for themselves!

One Day will work with your pupils through a dynamic and creative workshop with our fully trained professional facilitator. Our One Day facilitator and your budding thespians will explore a diverse range of key themes such as enhanced creative teaching of the chosen topic, stimulating imagination, encouraging discussion, enhanced speaking and listening skills, improved confidence, teamwork  and oh yes… let’s not forget… bags and bags of fun

What One Day needs to succeed:

Number of Children

One - Four classes (up to 35 children per group)

Length of workshop

1 hour (KS1), 2 hours - Full day (KS2) per class

Suitable for

KS1 / KS2 / P1 - 3 / P4 - 7

Space needed

A large clear space (preferably a school hall) Please let us know if you have any special requirements!

What the children learn...

  • Exploring how to use voice, movement and expression in role-play and drama
  • Expressing ideas, thoughts and feelings through role-play and drama
  • Individual confidence, public speaking, basic acting skills, teamwork and awareness of others
  • Increased understanding of the Royal Family
