Nim’s Island

England, Scotland, Wales

NIM’S ISLAND tells the fictional story of an adventurous girl named Nim, who lives on a remote island in the South Pacific Ocean.

he workshop allows the children to take an informative a look at marine life in the South Pacific, protecting our environment and oceans, whilst actively unfolding this adventure-packed tale!

A much-loved book and film, Nim’s Island is full of heart, adventure and natural wonder. A great option for your literacy and environment topics.

Give your class a unique experience to complement their topic learning. These workshops are short bursts of creativity, specifically designed to keep the children engaged in the learning. As the sessions are short and sweet we can work with up to four classes in a day.

You can choose from 4 classes in 4 x 1 hour workshops scheduled throughout your school day, or we can work a little more in-depth with 2 classes over 2 hour sessions.

"There was such a buzz around school on Monday morning when word got out about the quality of the workshops! We were delighted that your staff commented on how creative and enthusiastic the children were as well as complimenting them on their behaviour and cooperation skills. This balance was achieved because the workshops were really well managed to ensure that the children explored characters and events in lots of different ways, with each class being given scope to be imaginative and express diverse ideas whilst being motivated and guided to remain fully on task. It was a wonderful week for pupils and great CPD for staff too, as many of them have talked about incorporating some of the activities and techniques used by your team!"
