Our hard-hitting ‘Don’t Talk to Strangers’ workshop explores the dangers children and young people are exposed to online and how to spot the signs of online grooming.
Our KS2-3 "Raise your Voice" Equality workshop has been carefully designed using drama and creativity as a vehicle to explore equality in our society, with a specific focus on gender equality.
Through the workshop, students will have the opportunity to use their imaginations, think outside the box and work together to develop their understanding of key concepts, people and events. Some themes explored in the workshop are:
What is equality and how might it feel to not be equal?
How students might be affected by stereotyping at school, work, online and in the wider world as they grow up.
Exploring discrimination, bullying and prejudice.
*Raise Your Voice*
Celebrating differences and personal aspiration, thinking about how we can shape a more equal future.
One Day will work with your pupils through a dynamic and creative workshop with our fully trained professional facilitator. Our One Day facilitator and your budding thespians will explore a diverse range of key themes such as enhanced creative teaching of the chosen topic, stimulating imagination, encouraging discussion, enhanced speaking and listening skills, improved confidence, teamwork and oh yes… let’s not forget… bags and bags of fun!
"The children really engaged with the activities. There was a good balance between listening and being up and about and active. It was really interesting to hear how the children have already built up stereotypes around gender. Hopefully the afternoon will have started to make them think about questioning those stereotypes. It was also great to hear the message that they are all equal but also all different in lots of ways. I will keep reminding them of the messages as we work through different curriculum areas and topics."
