Journey into the screen for an interactive, informative, playful KS1 workshop all about the importance of Internet Safety.
Dodge the tentacles of 'cyber bullies', swim through the ‘phishing' mermaids and bypass the icky ‘virus' swamps to keep our pirates' identities secret!
Get ready for your pupils to explore both the good and more challenging sides of the vast cyber ocean, otherwise known as the internet. Be you ready?! All aboard!
Using familiar characters: pirates and sea creatures, we highlight the importance of keeping safe online. Alongside our professional facilitator (in role!), your pupils will work in groups to navigate their way out of some rather sticky situations, sail the high seas of internet safety, all the while learning about those funny online words, and how to spot them.
Through playful and fun storytelling, pupils will learn how to keep safe when playing on the internet and realise that the world inside the screen is perhaps not so different from the real world after all.
These workshops are short one hour bursts of creativity specifically designed to keep the younger children engaged in the learning. As the sessions are short and sweet we can work with up to four classes in a day.
"Just a quick email to let you know how fantastic the e-safety workshops were! I popped in a few times throughout the two days and all pupils were thoroughly enjoying it and were bringing away the key messages we were expecting. Staff couldn't praise your Facilitator highly enough and I have recommended you to a number of other primary schools at an ICT conference... I hope you don't mind! Thanks again and please pass on this message onto your lady who delivered the training!"
