A Day in the Life…

A day in the life of a ... Viking! Roman! WW2 evacuee! Victorian! You choose ...

They will learn about daily life in certain time periods, the dilemmas and threats that people might have faced, and the similarities and differences between then and now. At the end of each session, pupils will have the chance to reflect on the lives of the characters they have explored, in an attempt to be able to see life from different points of view. 

The workshops are designed to follow a set pattern, but with a number of different activities that can be interchanged between time periods and also to accommodate the age, experience and confidence of each group. Our workshops are more than just a sequence of facts or a historical re-enactment – they are designed to get the children actively involved in understanding the time period, building characters and stories, and learning while having lots of fun!

These workshops are short one hour bursts of creativity specifically designed to keep the younger children engaged in the learning. As the sessions are short and sweet we can work with up to four classes in a day.
